1. Rockets keeping pace with the Warriors

Let’s be honest — almost everybody penciled the Rockets and the Warriors into the Western Conference Finals. While both have had their share of scares over time, they both find themselves one home game away from clinching a juicy matchup.

Neither team will admit it, but they’re watching each other, both trying to get an early advantage on the other before a possible series starts. Even with Golden Stats in sight however, Houston must stay on task.

The Jazz are as tough a team as the NBA can bring. Given they’ve already beaten Houston in the Toyota Center these playoffs, the Jazz have the recipe to do it again. Utah, like their fans, won’t spend a day thinking the series is over.

So while it’s nice to dream and plan for an impending series with Golden State, Houston has more business to take care of. This Houston team isn’t like past ones, as its playoff intensity is the highest it’s been in some time.
