The Toronto Raptors hit rock bottom Saturday, losing Game 3 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. We give you three takeaways from another unbelievable finish in the 2018 NBA Playoffs.
Just when you thought the Toronto Raptors and the Cleveland Cavaliers had shown you everything a series history can bring, a new headline comes to life.
There were many elements to the Cavaliers’ 105-103 victory over the Raptors in Game 3 Saturday. In essence, the Raptors overcame a plethora of obstacles just to fall short once again.
From lineup switches to an unprecedented benching, Toronto tried everything it could. But as LeBron James has proven time and time again (finishing with 38 points, seven assists and six rebounds, it takes a special army to dethrone the King.
In the midst of another spectacular performance; James added to his greatest of all time argument with his second game-winning buzzer beater of these playoffs to end the game.
James didn’t get there alone, however, as Kevin Love continues to have the breakout series he needed finishing with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Kyle Korver and George Hill also pitched in 18 and 12 points, respectively.
For the Raptors, Kyle Lowry repeatedly found himself in the paint and was electric from deep, scoring 27 points on 13 shots. OG Anunoby has his best game of the series, finishing with 18 points, including the biggest bucket of the game for the Raptors.
