Miami Heat: Top 10 moments from 2017-18 NBA season
By Ivan Mora
The Miami Heat made their return to the playoffs once again after an emotional ride of a season. Here are 10 moments from their 2017-18 campaign.
The Miami Heat fell short on firepower and weren’t able to squeeze out a first round victory over the emerging Philadelphia 76ers. A tough and physical series that didn’t end up in their favor, but that doesn’t mean their season was a failure.
In fact, quite the opposite for a team in the midst of rebuilding years. The Heat finished as the 6-seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 44-38 before being ousted by the 3-seeded Sixers, but it was the way they rode the wave of adversity that kept this team in the playoff hunt until the very end.
It was a step up from last year’s 41-41 record and missing out on the postseason for the Southeast Division champs, who underwent some internal changes and surprises that changed the direction this Heat team could take in the years to come.
The reality is that Miami is one All-Star and role player away from getting back into the Eastern Conference race; it’s just a matter of finding the right fit to for the Heat culture.
They finished the season on a high note with great expectations for the offseason, but before we get there, here are the top 10 moments from the past season.
