Toronto Raptors: 3 takeaways from Game 2 vs. Cavaliers
By Chris Conner
2. Kevin Love is back
Sometimes it’s okay to wonder if someone is playing possum, because it sure feels like the Cavaliers’ role players were left for dead leading into this series — Kevin Love in particular. Love had been in one of the worst slumps he’d seen for his career. He hadn’t touched 20 points and was barely averaging over 10 for the entire playoffs.
We all knew, however, it was only a matter of time before Love busted out of his slump. Given the Raptors’ luck, Game 2 was the night for him to do it.
Love’s struggles were mainly dealing with his shot, and while he missed a few “bunnies” as he’d call them, overall he seemed to be dealing with misfortune up until Thursday. Love’s breakthrough turned that misfortune around as he made even the most unlikely of circus shots.
Kevin Love can turn the Cavaliers into a different team by himself. We know LeBron can win games and series by himself, but when his sidekick shows up like Thursday, the Cavs become a team capable of beating almost anyone.
We can imagine what type of reaction that must bring The King.
