Milwaukee Bucks: Top 10 moments from 2017-18 NBA season
1. Giannis leaps over Tim Hardaway for monstrous dunk
Giannis Antetokunmpo is built like no other NBA player before him. He stands 6’11” with a 7’3″ wingspan, the height and length of a center. His hands are some of the largest in the NBA at 12 inches. Despite his thin frame he is all muscle, with the strength of back up his size.
He is also incredibly fast and agile, with springy athleticism. In other words, he seems to be the creation of a basketball player from a laboratory: the perfect NBA specimen. No player in the history of the NBA has brought his collection of measurables and liftoff.
Which is why no NBA player has pulled this off before:

In a game against the New York Knicks, the Bucks initiated a fast break and advanced the ball to Khris Middleton. Trailing the play was Antetokounmpo, and Middleton saw him sprinting up behind New York wing Tim Hardaway Jr. Middleton lobbed the ball up to prompt the most incredible, jaw-dropping, raise-you-out-of-your-seat dunk of the year.
The Knicks were unable to recover from such a feat and lost the game by 14 points. Antetokounmpo told reporters after the game that he was so locked in, he did not even notice he completely leapt over another player. The dunk is still awe-inspiring no matter how many times one watches it.
The Milwaukee Bucks had an eventful season this year, making trades and firing coaches, but the future of this franchise lies in its superstar forward, who does not stop at jaw-dropping dunks but is also one of the league’s most dominant two-way players.
