4. Trade up in the draft

While it isn’t the deepest class this year, the added incentive for the Bulls to trade up in the 2018 NBA Draft is that Marvin Bagley III or Michael Porter Jr. not only have the potential to be dominant forwards in this league, but also that those players fit perfectly into the Bulls’ need to add a young slasher.

With an added offensive weapon, it would make a full-steam Zach LaVine hard to guard.

If LaVine gets up to speed and there are other scorers that can keep teams honest on the floor, it’ll be hard to contain LaVine on a nightly basis without a double-team, at which point the Bulls should be able to capitalize.

This would be the move that kicks this already speedy rebuild into hyperdrive, though of course, this also depends on where the Bulls land in the NBA Draft Lottery. Currently, they have the sixth-best odds for the No. 1 overall pick. Would Bagley or Porter still be available if Chicago wound up with the No. 6 or No. 7 selection?
