How did Chicago Bulls center Robin Lopez fare in his second year with the team? Here’s a look back at his 2017-18 season.

The Chicago Bulls acquired Robin Lopez following the 2015-16 campaign in a trade that sent former MVP Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks. Although Lopez had posted a double-digit scoring average just three times in his eight years in the NBA prior to joining the Bulls, he performed very well during his first year in the Windy City.

Mostly regarded as a big man with a limited offensive game, Lopez certainly had his work cut out for him in an offense that is predicated on pace-and-space. Fortunately for the Bulls, Lopez evolved into a player capable of hitting the mid-range jumper at a respectable clip, thus making opposing defenses pay the price for leaving him open.

With that in mind, was the success he had in his first year with the Bulls more of aberration or a positive sign of things to come? To answer that question, we will take a look back at Lopez’s 2017-18 season, including stats, highlights, memorable moments and a final grade.
