3. John Wall returns to the hardwood

The return of John Wall was much-needed as far as the Wizards were concerned. During the month of March, the team had a 6-7 record after overachieving in February. It seemed like the Coach of the Month award Scott Brooks won previously was meaningless down the stretch.

The organization breathed a huge sigh of relief when Wall finally made his return on March 31 against the Charlotte Hornets. He put up 15 points, 14 assists and three rebounds in 33 minutes of action. His shot wasn’t falling much, as he went 6-for-17 (35.3 percent), but he still managed to have a solid contribution in a victory.

The Washington Wizards beat the Hornets 107-93 to get their first victory over them all season. They went 1-3 against Charlotte during the 2017-18 season. Otto Porter turned in a double-double as he once again led the team in scoring with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

It was a good time for Wall to return as he powered the team’s assist numbers. They had 30 assists in the game. The Wizards posted a record of 13-4 when they recorded 30 assists or more as a team.
