1. Washington wins two playoff games in a row

The 2018 NBA Playoffs didn’t quite go as planned, but the biggest highlight was Washington evening the series at 2-2 by winning two home games in a row. Coming into this season, the Wizards hadn’t lost a playoff game at home in their last six tries.

After falling behind 0-2 to the Raptors in its first round playoff series, Washington showed why it’s such a dangerous team at home. The Wizards got two much-needed victories over the Raptors on April 20 and 22, showing new signs of life in postseason play.

They won 122-103 in Game 1 as Bradley Beal effectively worked out of his shooting slump. He put up 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the floor. John Wall also had 28 points along with 14 rebounds, seven rebounds and four steals.

In Game 2, they won 106-98 behind 31 points from Beal. Beal fouled out of the game, but the Wizards were able to hang on in the end. Wall had 27 points, 14 assists, six rebounds and four steals on 10-for-24 shooting from the field.

The two victories put the Wizards’ home winning streak in the postseason at 8-0 before they fell to Toronto in Game 6. The results of the season were a mixed bag, especially if you ask John Wall, but him becoming more vocal might help. This team can’t keep repeating the same results.
