2. Cavs supporting cast shows up in big way

Coming into Game 1, much had been made about the Cavaliers’ supporting cast. The 2017-18 season was arguably the most taxing on LeBron James’ body.

Considering he’s no longer a spring chicken, having LeBron do “everything” doesn’t sound like a recipe for success.

For the first time in this year’s playoffs, several other Cavaliers had his back.

Kyle Korver, J.R Smith, Jeff Green and Tristan Thompson all came up big for a team that needed every ounce of help on the road in Game 1. And while Kevin Love hasn’t broken out of his shooting slump, he felt as involved as anyone.

It should be only a matter of time before that effort gets even the simplest of baskets to fall.

Make no mistake about it, if the Cavaliers can provide assistance like they showed Tuesday, Toronto could be in big trouble going forward.
