Highlights

Evans highlights were few and far between. He put up scoring in bunches all the time but had few plays that will be talked about in the future. His lack of availability and the Grizzlies’ lack of wins made highlights nearly impossible to come by.

His first highlights were in an early game against the Orlando Magic. Orlando led by as many as 11 points and had an eight-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Evans did not want to lose and left his first mark on the organization, dropping in 32 points in what turned out to be a close loss. Evans’ fourth quarter helped Memphis get the lead back late, though ultimately it wasn’t enough:

Another one of Evans’ best moments came back in December vs. Atlanta. The Grizzlies stormed back from a 12-point deficit to tie it with just over a minute to go. Evans was not going to lose to the lowly Hawks at home, so he took over with the game on the line and hit what turned out to be the game-winner:

Credit Evans for willing the team to that win when victories were still a priority in Memphis. He was fantastic during that stretch.

Evans’ most dominant game according to Basketball-Reference’s game score was his 31-point game in a close loss to the Cavs. He dominated that one from start to finish:

If the Grizzlies bring back Evans next season, we will probably see more highlights than we saw this season.
