Weaknesses

One of Tyreke’s biggest weaknesses is something that has plagued him throughout his whole career: availability. Evans has only played more than 70 games in one-third of his seasons. This year, he played in just 52 games.

That wasn’t all on Evans. He was injured for probably half of those games, because some of those he was sitting out while he was rumored to be on the trading block and others he sat out due to tanking. But Evans missing 30 games again is still an alarming number regardless.

Another weak part of Evans’ game continues to be his defense. Evans struggles to stay in front of his man on the less glamorous end of the floor, and his low effort often causes him to hemorrhage points. His -0.8 Defensive Box Plus-Minus was the worst figure of his career, and he didn’t look great guarding anyone this season.

If Evans can plug up the holes in his D, he would be one hell of a player for the 65 games you can reasonably expect him to play every season.
