Strengths

It all starts with scoring for Evans. Since being the rookie of the year back in 2010, Evans has averaged double digits in the scoring column every season since, and he has been over 15 points per game every season besides 2016-17.

This season in Memphis was no different. Evans found a new stroke from all over the court, improving his shooting percentages at the rim, from long 2-point range and from deep. He proved he could score off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations, and he did it well.

Evans also took valuable steps forward in taking care of the ball. His 11.5 percent turnover rate was a career best, and his 31.2 assist percentage was his second-highest mark ever. He did all that while having a career-high usage rate, too.

More reps. More made shots. More assists. Fewer turnovers. Sounds like a great combo to me.
