Houston Rockets: 3 takeaways from Game 1 vs. Jazz

1. James Harden looks like a man on a mission
James Harden didn’t have to score 41 to win Sunday. He just did it because he can.
Harden’s 41 was ultra-efficient so many ways. Let’s start with him shooting 12-for-26 overall. Harden also rained in seven 3s on 12 attempts and was 10-for-11 from the free throw line.
His playoff resume has been a budding joke in the past, but this year feels quite different. His true task may not have arrived yet, but when it does, his play appears ready. As Harden explained after the game, this version of the Rockets is “just different.”
Harden won’t admit it, but every game he has the chance to prove doubters wrong is one worth living.
