Highlights

Anyone who has read my articles before knows how much I enjoy watching Allen play. His ability to finish above the rim pops off the screen.

Lest we forget, Allen completely destroyed fellow rookie Lauri Markkanen not too long ago:

Allen took several victims in his first NBA go-around, so I don’t need to post all of them. Instead, the glorious YouTube does the job for me by compiling his most destructive dunks.

Just as I outlined when talking about his strengths, Allen runs at the rim extremely quickly for a center. His ability to streak in transition is nearly unstoppable for opposing centers.

Don’t forget, he is also a black hole at the rim. Watch him completely vaporize Willy Hernangomez and make the New York Knicks ship the inferior center to Charlotte.

His elevation on plays like this is spectacular. As he masters his positioning on defense, blocks like those will come with even more aplomb.

The internet failed me when scouring for Allen’s five-block performance against the Milwaukee Bucks on April 5, but it must be discussed. Five blocks. If that’s not rim protection, I don’t know what is. Allen is a freaking fortress.
