Brooklyn Nets: 2017-18 player grades for Caris LeVert
By Alec Liebsch
Highlights
As one would expect from such a malleable player, LeVert’s highlights spanned several aspects of the game of basketball. From dimes (4.2 assists per game) to game-winners to timely steals (1.2 per game), LeVert did it all.
Most famously, LeVert took over against the Miami Heat on the eve of Easter, pouring in 19 points and eight assists, along with a filthy crossover that led to a game-winner.
Dwayne Wade went from the teacher to the student on this night, and probably pondered checking into the nearest retirement village. Luckily, Florida has quite a few nice elderly homes to look at.
His 27-point, five-rebound, five-assist performance against the Los Angeles Clippers was also a great testament to his versatility. His ability to fill the stat sheet makes him a threat to fire off triple-doubles at will.
Wings with the ability to run the offense are becoming incredibly valuable due to their size and versatility. Showings like these are just glimpses into LeVert’s higher-than-advertised potential.
