Weaknesses

Perfect timing. No player is perfect, and while LeVert filled many roles for the Nets, there are some holes to his game.

First and foremost, LeVert was at best a streaky shooter. For a team that jacks up 3-pointers almost as frequently as the Houston Rockets, it helps to have several deep threats on the floor. LeVert’s subpar efficiency in this department (34.7 percent) must improve.

Part of the issue might be the supporting cast of mediocre shooters, but LeVert still stands to improve his consistency as a floor-spacer. Otherwise, he becomes a lot more difficult to use off the ball.

Additionally, LeVert’s versatile defense came and went. It was great in spurts, but overall LeVert’s defensive consistency must solidify. 3-and-D qualities no longer only apply to role players; even the best players on a given team must contribute in these departments.

In general, LeVert simply needs to put the mosaic pieces together. He does many things well on occasion, but not always in the most consistent manner. He is as versatile as he is erratic. These attributes all construct a solid foundation for LeVert; he just needs to link it all together.
