1. Still no Curry

Here is the glimmer of hope throughout this all: Stephen Curry still hasn’t even stepped on the court.

While this type of game was the result of a well-rested Warrior squad playing with passion and intensity in their home arena, the truth is this won’t be enough to fuel them into more easy victories like this.

The Pelicans will be out for blood in Game 2, and while Curry sat out Game 1, he will likely be playing next time, according to head coach Steve Kerr.

This means that minutes must be delegated his way, and he will be rusty. This is a necessary evil that comes with getting a star player back, and the Pelicans will need to capitalize.

The overall effort was lame this time around. Nobody figured E’Twaun Moore would be the second best scorer on the Pelicans in Game 1 with a measly 15 points, but anyone who heard that stat could also probably tell you the game was a loss for the Pels.

All in all, the biggest thing moving forward is to not let this become a mental game. There can be no more 41-point quarters like the Warriors dropped in the second quarter of Game 1.
