1. The Bucks were wiped off the glass

It is very hard to win a game when the opposing team wins the battle of the boards by 10. The defensive rebound count was pretty close with the Celtics shading the Bucks, 31-28. Unfortunately for the Bucks, they lost the offensive rebound battle 11-4.

These 11 offensive rebounds cost the Milwaukee Bucks 14 second chance points. The Bucks were only able to score eight second chance points.

Thon Maker, who brings massive energy and has shown tremendous shot-blocking ability, was outmatched when fighting for rebounds. He just wasn’t strong enough to match it with Aron Baynes, nor experienced enough to beat Al Horford. This will change as the years go on and Maker gets stronger.

Tyler Zeller was not able to assert his presence on the series and this game only played for four minutes. John Henson was ruled out of the final games of the series with a back issue. He would have made a difference, but probably would not have impacted the result of the series.

The Celtics were the better team throughout the season and therefore got home-court advantage. This was enough to get them over the line against the Milwaukee Bucks.
