Washington Wizards: 3 takeaways from Game 6 vs. Raptors
The Washington Wizards hosted the Toronto Raptors in Game 6 hoping to keep the series alive. Here are our three takeaways from the elimination loss.
When the 8-seed takes one game from the 1-seed, they have played well. When they take two games, the series can be considered a small success. In Game 6, it was crucial for the Washington Wizards to take a third game if they wanted to extend their playoff series against the Toronto Raptors.
Unfortunately for John Wall and his Wizards, they were not able to do this, losing 4-2 against the Raptors on Friday night.
Wall was tremendous, collecting 23 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Bradley Beal was also in sensational form, scoring 32 points on 10-of-22 shooting. Markieff Morris had a strong game too, finishing with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
The Raptors were simply better on the night, sharing the load as they have all season. Kyle Lowry was impressive with 24 points, six rebounds and six assists. DeMar DeRozan was also good with 16 points and fours assists.
Jonas Valanciunas had 14 points and 12 rebounds while Pasal Siakam chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds off the bench, shooting 5-of-6 from the field. His performance and that of the Raptors bench kick off our three takeaways from Game 6.
