In a series that has shown the highs and lows of this Oklahoma City Thunder team, the Utah Jazz took the series 4-2 to advance to the next round.
It was always going to be tough to top the excitement of the Game 5 comeback, but the Game 6 battle between Thunder star Russell Westbrook and incredible rookie Donovan Mitchell was intense.
Westbrook had 48 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 43 minutes on the court, while Mitchell put up 38 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal in his 40 minutes of action.
Both coaches saw this game as a must-win based on the amount of time they played their starters for. Billy Donovan played Paul George 45 minutes, Westbrook 39 minutes and Steven Adams 39 minutes.
Quin Snyder played Joe Ingles 41 minutes, Mitchell 40 minutes, and Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors 38 minutes each. Ricky Rubio went off after seven minutes with a hamstring issue.
The game was back-and-forth affair with the Thunder leading by four after the first period before the Jazz took a one-point lead into the break. Then came that third quarter battle, which begins our three takeaways from Game 6.
