4. Andrew Wiggins has to find his mojo

Andrew Wiggins had an interesting run in the postseason considering his regular season production. During the regular season, Wiggins averaged 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 43.8 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from 3-point range.

In the playoffs, Wiggins’ numbers took a hit. He averaged 15.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0,4 steals per game. Granted, he was up against the No. 1 seed in the West in the Houston Rockets, but he’s got to be better prepared for these moments.

In the one game in the postseason where he scored 20 points, the Timberwolves won. Wiggins shot 7-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the arc in that game. In all their other losses, Wiggins was 23-for-57 (40.4 percent) and 3-for-15 (20 percent) from 3-point land, averaging 14.8 points per game.

Becoming more of a scorer should be high on Wiggins’ to-do list this offseason, as he’s another player due to break out for Minnesota in 2018-19. Some would say he broke out already, but there’s still plenty of room for him to grow, especially defensively.
