4. Playoff Rondo

Rajon Rondo is a great player and in my mind is a future Hall-of-Famer. Since leaving the Boston Celtics, he’s had a few lost years, but the Pelicans seem like the right fit. However, when his teams make the playoffs, a legendary figure appears, affectionately known as “Playoff Rondo.” If you’re not familiar with Playoff Rondo, imagine regular Rondo with those NBA 2K attribute boosts. He’s incredible to watch.

Rondo’s best asset is obviously his insane passing, but he’s shown during these playoffs that he can find his shot. It’s hard to limit his passing, so the Warriors’ defense has to be on point. That may be an obvious point, but Rondo’s passing is on another level, and standard defensive schemes just aren’t effective.

The Warriors will be hoping Playoff Rondo doesn’t show up as his usual self. It’s incredibly tough to go up against him, let alone stop him. The Warriors have to lock the team down to limit the effect of Rondo’s play.
