The 2018 NBA Draft is just under two months away, and the Memphis Grizzlies have the second-best lottery odds. Let’s examine their needs in the draft.

The Memphis Grizzlies just finished a 22-win season. Even when you have Mike Conley Jr. and Marc Gasol, if you win just 22 games, your team has some needs.

Thankfully, the team also has resources to address these needs. It is less the case that the team has cap space or a sweet roster to lure in new talent, but rather the team has draft assets. With the second-best lottery odds and a great second round pick, the Grizzlies are guaranteed a top-five pick while also picking at No. 32 early in the second round.

Two selections aren’t much, but the Grizz could use whatever help they can get. With basically only the big man rotation secured in the immediate future, the only thing the Memphis Grizzlies shouldn’t do on draft night is draft a center.

With that being said, they do have some fairly large needs elsewhere that they should address in the draft, and their picks will be a great way to do that.
