1. Zach LaVine’s questionable status

Zach LaVine is only 23 years old, and he should be a big part of the Bulls’ future. However, in just
39 games of action this season, it’s really hard to gauge how much he is worth as he heads into free agency.

In that span, he did rack up an impressive 16.9 points in just 25.4 minutes per game, but, to make matters complex for the Bulls, he did his offensive damage inefficiently to say the least, shooting at a rate of .402/.383/.809.

Add injury concerns to the mix and it’s a hairy situation in Chicago.

Ideally, the Bulls should offer him a large one- or two-year deal so they can reevaluate who he is as a player from a perspective of health and performance with this core.

Given that LaVine has been vocal about his feeling that he is a max contract player, it might be a tough sell to get him in for one or two years only. The fact that the LaVine situation is far from secure going into the offseason is by far the most disappointing takeaway from the 2017-18 season.
