The Oklahoma City Thunder are heading back home down 3-1 to the Utah Jazz after a terrible 113-96 defeat in Game 4 of their first round series.

After losing Game 3 by double-digits, the Oklahoma City Thunder were expected to come out swinging in Game 4, hoping to regain home-court advantage and restore order in their first round series against the Utah Jazz.

Instead, Utah was the team on a mission, winning 113-96 in a game fit to be deemed playoff basketball.

Six technical fouls were called, as both teams had to be separated from each other on numerous occasions. Jae Crowder was ejected late in the fourth after an inadvertent elbow caught Steven Adams‘ face.

Russell Westbrook had another terrible game in this series, as foul trouble limited him to 23 points on 7-of-18 shooting along with just three assists. Paul George was a bright spot for OKC, scoring 32 points while shooting 12-of-12 from the free throw line, while Carmelo Anthony struggled with just 11 points in 36 minutes of action.

Donovan Mitchell continued his inaugural postseason run, scoring 33 points, the most by a Jazz rookie in the playoffs.

Despite being down 3-1, Oklahoma City still has a decent chance of advancing. First, they have to protect home-court in Game 5, and doing so requires a look at these three takeaways from an embarrassing Game 4.
