2. Bradley Beal surges in the second half

Bradley Beal ended up fouling out in the end, but that wasn’t before he had a big second half to propel the Washington Wizards into the lead. Beal scored 20 of his 31 points in the final 24 minutes of action.

He was 5-of-9 from the floor and 4-of-6 from 3-point range in the second half to power Washington’s offense. He also accumulated four fouls in the half, but that can be attributed to him turning things up on the defensive end.

Beal had a defensive rating of 100.7 in Game 4 against the Toronto Raptors. Despite playing just 32 minutes of action, he still had a net rating of +3.8. In Game 3 on Friday night, Beal generated a defensive rating of 102.6 with a net rating of +26.2.

On the offensive end, it was Beal’s second consecutive game of leading the team in scoring. His 31 points were a postseason high so far, but he’s just getting started after working out of slump.
