3. Never, ever count this team out

The San Antonio Spurs have been more successful over the past 20 years than any team in the NBA. As a result, they know what it takes to win. They still have some of the key pieces of that time on the roster.

These guys have been in tough situations and prevailed. Manu Ginobili has been the catalyst for this over countless games in his career. Sunday night was no different. He bounced back from his poor Game 3 performance to lead the bench with 16 points. Ginobili is now the only player over 40 to have two double-digit scoring games off the bench in playoffs. He also had five assists and three rebounds on the night.

LaMarcus Aldridge was huge again, collecting a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double. Interestingly enough, Aldridge went 3-of-3 from deep, including one prayer that seemed to break the spirit of the Warriors. He also went 5-of-5 from the line.

However, it is not just the stat lines that these players bring to the table. It is the intensity they bring to the rest of team and as a result, the defense was back. They forced the Warriors into seven turnovers in the first quarter, which sparked the Spurs’ offense early on.
