After a spirited comeback fell short, the Boston Celtics will head back home with the series tied at 2-2 following a Game 4 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Like they’ve done all season, the Boston Celtics made a late-game run against the Milwaukee Bucks, ultimately falling short at the buzzer in a 104-102 loss in Game 4 of their first round matchup.

Being down as many as 20 points, simply having a chance to win the game in the final seconds was a remarkable accomplishment for the Celtics, and it should give them confidence moving forward in the playoffs.

Jayson Tatum continues to defy his rookie status, finishing with 21 points including a go-ahead shot to give Boston the lead in the final minute. Jaylen Brown added another 30-point performance to his postseason resume, topping his previous playoff career-high set in Game 2 with 34 points in Game 4.

Despite a tied series at two games apiece, the Celtics still have home-court advantage, giving them the edge over the Bucks should this series go the full seven games.

However, we’ve seen in the past what a two-game winning streak can do for a team’s momentum heading into a crucial Game 5, and it’s that momentum that can prove costly for the Celtics.

If Boston wants to take a 3-2 series lead, it’ll have to make sure to take a look at these three takeaways from their Game 4 defeat.
