The Washington Wizards got their first victory in the 2018 NBA Playoffs and looked like a totally different team in Game 3 against the Toronto Raptors.

The Washington Wizards got their first victory in the 2018 NBA Playoffs on Friday night. Their 122-103 win puts the series at 2-1, giving them some much-needed momentum against the Toronto Raptors.

The Wizards looked like a completely different team and it showed in the final result. Washington only allowed Toronto to score 103 points, well below the 122 points it averaged in its two home victories. The Raptors still went 12-for-28 (42.9 percent) from 3-point range, but on the flip side, the Wizards shot 10-for-23 (43.5 percent).

The starting rotation stayed the same as Bradley Beal and John Wall finished with 28 points apiece. Beal turned things up on defense, finishing with three steals along with four rebounds and four assists. Wall had 14 assists and six rebounds as well.

Marcin Gortat finished with 16 points along with five rebounds on 8-of-10 shooting while the Wizards bench continued to be a strength in the series. Mike Scott and Kelly Oubre Jr. finished with a combined 24 points to carry a bulk of the 35 bench points.

The victory was a step in the right direction as the Washington Wizards turned the tides of the series at home. Here are three takeaways from their Game 3 victory over Toronto.
