There’s a lot of things the Orlando Magic need to fix during the 2018 offseason. Here are their five most pressing issues.

The Orlando Magic are one of the few teams in the league that don’t have a clear path back to contention right now. We can say this because they currently don’t have a head coach, and have only one real core player on the books in Aaron Gordon.

The 2018 offseason is going to be a busy one for the organization, and it already has been with the firing of head coach Frank Vogel, along with the strength and athletic training staff.

Clearing the decks like that less than a week after the regular season had ended is a clear sign the front office isn’t happy with the direction the team is going in. Unfortunately for the Magic, there’s a lot more work still to do if they want to be taken seriously or even make the postseason again over the next couple of years.

As it stands, attracting top free agent talent is nearly impossible, while there are some players on their roster they wouldn’t mind ditching as well. The painful reality here is that no matter how productive this offseason is, there will still be more work to do next summer, and likely the one after that.

As depressing as that is to think about, here are the five most pressing issues for the Magic this summer. Addressing several of these would point them back in the right direction.
