The playoff series between the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors moved to San Antonio for Game 3.

The San Antonio Spurs came home to host the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of their best-of-seven first round playoff series Thursday night. They were going to need to play better than in the first two games to take a win.

Head coach Gregg Popovich missed the game tonight following the tragic death or his wife Erin on Wednesday. All of our thoughts and prayers are with the Popovich family. However, the game had to go on. The Spurs started with tremendous energy and kept up with Warriors for the first half. Unfortunately for the San Antonio faithful, the Dubs pulled away in the second half again.

The Warriors did this on the back of six players in double figures. They were led by Kevin Durant, who had a game-high 26 points to go along with nine rebounds and six assists. However, Durant appeared to turn his ankle late in the game, which may limit him next game.

For the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge led the team with 18 points and 10 rebounds. They only had three other players in double figures. This begins our three takeaways from the Game 3 loss.
