Phoenix Suns: Top 10 moments from 2017-18 NBA season
4. Booker forces OT vs. Bucks
To avoid sounding like a broken record, the only good thing about the Suns most nights was Devin Booker. In a late November game against the Milwaukee Bucks, that was once again the case.
It was Eric Bledsoe’s first game back in Phoenix, and the Suns found themselves on the losing end in a hard-fought overtime game. Bled dropped a 30-7-6 line in his return to Talking Stick Resort Arena, while Khris Middleton led the way with 40 points.
All anyone really remembers from that game, however, is the impossible turnaround jump shot Booker hit at the buzzer from 28 feet out to force overtime:
That is an impossible shot. It’s the kind of shot you’d expect to see from someone with that killer mentality we revered Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant for.
The Suns lost in OT, and Booker only finished with 23 points on 24 shots on the night, but when his team needed him most to keep hopes of a win alive, he delivered. Most fans will take those signs of Booker becoming a cold-blooded killer over anything individual result in a tanking season.
