Atlanta Hawks: Top 10 moments from 2017-18 NBA season
4. Hawks destroy Kings by franchise-record 46 points
Atlanta’s third win of the season would be its most complete game of the year. The Hawks soundly defeated the Sacramento Kings 126-80 on Nov. 15 in one of only eight double-digit wins in 2017-18. It also tied for the sixth-largest victory in the NBA this season.
The 46-point win set a new Hawks franchise record for largest margin of victory. This surpassed a record that was set in 1965 and repeated in 1994.
Atlanta went 63.3 percent from the field. That was a season-high, of course, but that number was also the third-highest percentage by any team in the NBA this year. The Hawks also shot 50 percent from the field, tied for third-highest team percentage on the season.

The Hawks’ 40-19 second quarter was the turning point of the game. It was the most points scored and the largest scoring margin in a quarter all season. They also held Sacramento to 35.2 percent shooting, the second-lowest percentage allowed by Atlanta all year. Dewayne Dedmon came away with a double-double in the process, notching 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Basically, the Hawks cleaning the Kings’ clock from start to finish. A win as dominant as this should be commended. It shows what a team is truly capable of when it’s firing on all cylinders.
