3. Stifle Tower down

At 7’2″ with a 7’9″ reach, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert is one of the most feared rim protectors in the NBA, capable of blocking shots while barely getting off the ground.

Gobert averaged 2.3 blocks per game and ranked near the top in field goal percentage allowed at the rim during the regular season. Most NBA players understand Gobert’s prowess near the rim, and most tend to adjust accordingly.

Blake Griffin isn’t one of those players.

After turning the corner on Ricky Rubio, Griffin saw Gobert standing the paint and decided to take the challenge head-on. The same couldn’t be said of Rudy, who ducked the moment BG went airborne in an attempt to save himself from a vicious poster, the likes of which have stuck with Timofey Mozgov for years.

Griffin’s post-dunk reaction might’ve been the best part, as he hung on the rim and flashed a mean mug, seemingly acknowledging his ownership over the now shamed Gobert.

The Jazz sent the Clippers home in the 2017 postseason in a Game 7 in Los Angeles, and while this dunk can’t reverse that painful defeat, taking your anger out on those who’ve wronged you has been known to be very therapeutic.
