Brooklyn Nets: Top 10 moments from 2017-18 NBA season

3. Allen Crabbe enlarges the rim
The Nets’ offense has a few specific goals in mind: move the ball, find the open 3, and/or run pick-and-rolls. When the second goal becomes a reality, the team can truly do some damage.
A notable paradigm for how high the offense can soar was on display just a few weeks ago, as marksman Allen Crabbe took accuracy to a new level. On his 26th birthday, Crabbe scored 41 points (!!!) on 15 shots.
The Chiacgo Bulls wished this was a typo. Crabbe couldn’t miss, especially from downtown, where he made 8-of-11 3-point attempts. Even if the Bulls were trying to win, it’s hard to imagine they could’ve cooled his hot hand.
Even against a tanking team, 41 points on that type of efficiency is nothing short of spectacular. Crabbe’s ability to threaten from that deep opens up so much for the Nets offense, and adding more personnel like Crabbe could make the Nets scary good in due time.
Crabbe’s precision was a glimpse into just how hot the Nets offense can get with the right personnel. Those 3-pointers are gold to coach Kenny Atkinson, and the gold rush is evidently right around the corner.
