2. The Wizards bench steps up

One reason this game wasn’t a complete blowout is the play of Wizards’ bench. With the starters in chaos, Washington relied on several bench players to give them positive energy and play.

And they did!

If fact, the Wizards’ bench ultimately outscored the starters 63-56. That is quite the surprise for a team searching for any silver lining it can find in this series. The Raptors didn’t have many answers for the aforementioned Mike Scott and the forgotten Ty Lawson.

With the series now shifting to the city of Washington, the Raptors will need to be prepared for a different Wizards team. Lineup switches and rotation tweaks are not out of the possibility as the Wizards will come into Game 3 as the desperate team.
