2018 NBA Mock Draft: Full two-round, postseason mock

Kurucs’ situation has been extremely interesting this season with his professional team overseas. He plays for Barcelona, which is in the EuroLeague and is normally one of the best teams in that league. However, Barcelona is not giving Kurucs any minutes with their top team because they do not want him to be seen by NBA scouts. Kurucs has been clear though that he wants to be in the NBA. He is an impressive shooter at 6’9″ and can put the ball on the floor as well. He has a ton of offensive skill to his game.
It’s hard telling what the Brooklyn Nets do with this pick. It really depends on how invested they are in their guards and wings like Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris Levert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. If they believe these guys can continue to grow, the Nets probably end up taking another forward for the future to try and pair with Jarrett Allen. Kurucs may not be that guy, but there are not a lot of surefire contributors left at this point in the draft.
Troy Brown has the potential to become Evan Turner in my opinion, which is the reason I am not nearly as high on Troy Brown as most. The physical tools are intriguing, but I have a hard time seeing him scoring or shooting from 3 at a level to make him a lottery pick or even mid-first round selection. I like Brown’s rebounding, court vision and believe with his physical attributes, he can become a solid defender.
The late first round seems like the position in the draft where you want to get a guy like Brown. Hopefully the Hawks can develop his shooting, finishing at the rim and ball-handling. However, that’s asking for a lot for them to do with Brown in a short amount of time. There’s definitely potential to grow into a much better player and outplay his competition like Kevin Knox though.
