The Golden State Warriors won Game 2 over the San Antonio Spurs 116-101, prevailing by double-digits again despite greater resistance. Here are our three takeaways.

In the most predictable occurrence of the postseason thus far, the Golden State Warriors got outworked by the San Antonio Spurs in the first half of Game 2.

When the team that won Game 1 also won 58 regular season games with little effort, and the loser won 47 on little else than effort, such things are inevitable. Coaching adjustments from a coach who is behind in the series and who is also the best coach ever were, also, a forgone conclusion.

However, the “Gregg Popovich Special” was not meant to be. The Warriors played hard enough in spurts, and their two elite scorers mattered more than the Spurs’ one. LaMarcus Aldridge had 34 points, but Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson combined for 63, and the Warriors won 116-101.

As the series now moves to Texas, let’s look at what we know about what has happened, and what we know about what might happen next.
