Instead of playing in the playoffs this season, the Denver Nuggets will be at home watching for the fifth straight year. It was an up-and-down year that had its fair share of highlights and disappointments.

The Denver Nuggets fought all season long to be a playoff team. They stayed in the hunt the for the entire 2017-18 campaign, and if not for a few setbacks during the year, the Nuggets probably would be a playoff team right now.

They head into the offseason with a young, very skilled roster and have some of their building block players for the long-term future of this franchise with guys like Nikola Jokic, Gary Harris and Jamal Murray.

The Nuggets will have some cap flexibility in free agency, and they will likely hold the last pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. They may look to get a veteran type player to add to their young roster, either by free agency or making an offseason trade.

But before we get too far ahead and put this 2017-18 season in the past, we have to take a look at the five biggest disappointments for the Denver Nuggets.
