After getting blown off the floor in Game 1, the San Antonio Spurs have their work cut out for them preparing for Game 2.

Weren’t the Golden State Warriors supposed to be worse without Stephen Curry?

If so, they didn’t show it, as they began their title defense with a convincing 113-92 win over the Kawhi Leonard-less San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their first round series.

The veteran Spurs seemed overwhelmed from the jump, as Golden State built an 11-point lead after the first quarter and cruised from there.

LaMarcus Aldridge struggled against the Warriors, scoring just 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Against an offensive juggernaut in Golden State, the six-time All-Star will have to do more to keep the Spurs competitive.

Not many coaches are better at making game-to-game adjustments like Gregg Popovich, and there’s no doubt the future Hall of Fame coach will come up with a better game plan heading into Game 2.

Until then, here are a few things the Spurs should take away from their Game 1 loss to the Warriors.
