Despite yet another disappointing season coming to an end, here are the Top 10 moments of season 2017-18 for the New York Knicks.

It’s becoming an all-too common occurrence, but the 2017-18 NBA season was yet another incredibly disappointing one for the New York Knicks.

While the offseason departure of 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony was always going to have an impact, the injection of some new faces in the trade, coupled with the introduction of No. 8 overall pick Frank Ntilikina, meant there was reason for optimism in Madison Square Garden. After all, coming off a 31-win season the previous year, things couldn’t get much worse.

The early signs were very promising, with the Knicks getting off to a 10-7 start with some impressive early season wins. However, injuries initially to Tim Hardaway Jr., and later All-Star selection Kristaps Porzingis, robbed the Knicks of their primary firepower for key stretches of the season. In the case of Porzingis, his ACL injury sustained on Feb. 6 against the Milwaukee Bucks ruled him out of the remainder of the season.

With their depth tested to its limits, it came as no surprise that the Knicks plummeted in the Eastern Conference standings as the season progressed. In fact, over the final 31 games of the season, the Knicks posted a horrendous 6-25 record. During this stretch, the Knicks ranked 25th in offensive rating and 28th in defensive rating.
