The Raptors-Wizards matchup brings us many “best of’s”. One of the more interesting tidbits is the chemistry level of both squads. The Raptors have been one of the more tighter knit groups this season as a unit. They’ve played team basketball on both sides of the floor, finishing in the top five in both offensive and defensive rating.
As stated earlier, the Wiz have had their issues on and off the floor together. From public embarrassment to subliminal tweeting to trying to reintegrate John Wall after being out due to injury, the Wizards have inched toward almost every attempt at unraveling.
Saturday’s Game 1 battle pits one of the more cohesive units against one of the most dysfunctional. If the Raptors can continue to stay together as a team, things should go well in their favor.
