What five things can be taken away from the 2017-18 NBA season for the Sacramento Kings?

The 2017-18 NBA season has been a year of ups and downs for the Sacramento Kings. From a record perspective, the Kings have had a down season at 27-55, but that was expected. Sacramento is still an incredibly young basketball team and the franchise knows that it will be a while before it is back in serious contention.

While the Kings may not be a playoff contender, there is no denying that they are heading in the right direction. Vlade Divac and company have been rebuilding the roster the right way, focusing on bringing in as much young talent as possible. They have also sprinkled in some important veteran leaders to help the young talent develop.

Sacramento has to be excited with the current young core it has put together. Names like De’Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Willie Cauley-Stein, Skal Labissierre and Justin Jackson help make the future look bright for the Kings.

Despite the rough year that the Kings have had, there have been quite a few things that fans can take away from the 2017-18 season. There were quite a few bright spots as well that should bring confidence for the future.

With all of that being said, what five takeaways can be seen for the Kings heading into the offseason?
