Now that the 2017-18 NBA regular season is over, it’s time to make our final picks for MVP, Rookie of the Year and every other major award.
The 2017-18 NBA regular season is in the rearview mirror, and with 14 teams preparing for exit interviews, vacations and offseason workouts, the other 16 are ready to batten down the hatches for the playoffs starting Saturday.
However, now that the 82-game grind is behind us for all 30 teams, there’s one last order of business before we can shift our full attention to the postseason, and that’s the NBA’s award season.
Though the awards won’t be presented until the summer, voting season has already arrived. We here at HoopsHabit don’t have an official ballot, but that’s not going to stop us from giving our picks for Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year, Most Improved Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and, of course, the ever-coveted MVP Award.
As is the case in any other season, some of these awards featured a crowded playing field, while others are dominated by a clear-cut favorite. After a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable 2017-18 campaign, here are our picks for each individual NBA award.
