The 2017-18 NBA regular season is coming to an end. As a result, the overachievers are beginning to shine as the underperformers are glad the season is ending.

The 2017-18 NBA regular season is coming to a close in less than a week, but that hasn’t stopped players from going out with a bang. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the San Antonio Spurs in overtime Wednesday night, 122-112, behind a game-high 30 points from rookie Kyle Kuzma.

It was Kuzma’s fourth 30-point game of the year as he continue to assert himself as a staple in the Lakers’ starting rotation. He may not win Rookie of the Year, but he’s shown why he was highly coveted by the Los Angeles front office in the 2017 NBA Draft.

In a showdown of the top two teams in the East on Wednesday night, the Toronto Raptors took down the Boston Celtics in convincing fashion, 96-78. The Celtics are without point guard Kyrie Irving, but that didn’t stop Toronto from extending their lead to three games in the standings. The trio of DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka combined for 44 points in the victory, showing that they may have figured things out from a distribution standpoint on offense.

The regular season finale is getting very interesting as teams are preparing for playoff runs of their own. Look for players and teams alike to step up and peak at the right time, playoff experience be darned. Here’s a look at the underperformers and overachievers for Week 25.
