Rationale:

  • Opponents haven’t been able to find a way to slow down Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. In each of the past 17 games, Lillard has poured in 20 or more points, tied for the fourth-longest steak in the NBA this year. During the 17-game run, Lillard is averaging 31.2 points, 6.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and is converting 3.8 times a night from beyond the arc. Along with his lofty point total, Lillard managed to dish out eight or more assists seven time during the 17-game run.
  • Once again thrust into the starting point guard role for the Golden State Warriors, Quinn Cook could be in line for a massive outing in FanDuel NBA tournament play Sunday night. Even though the sample size has been limited to just eight games, Cook is a much more confident shooter when he plays in the starting lineup. Cook is shooting 48.9 percent from the field (4.7 percent above his time as a starter) and knocking down 43.2 percent of his attempts from 3-point range, an 11.6 percent increase over when he comes off the bench. In his last three starts, Cook managed to score at least 20 points.
