Fresh off his first career triple-double, Brooklyn Nets guard D’Angelo Russell is becoming an ideal roster addition for FanDuel NBA leagues.

Triple-doubles have been a rarity for the Brooklyn Nets this decade, but an 18-point, 13-assist and 11-rebound outing from guard D’Angelo Russell showcases how much of an impact he can provide in FanDuel NBA league play.

The triple-double effort from Russell marked the first time any Nets player has achieved the feat since Terrence Williams in 2010 and with Brooklyn shifting him over from shooting guard to point guard, he will have plenty of opportunities to pile up statistics.

His debut season with the Nets appeared to be derailed when a knee injury forced him to miss 31 consecutive contests, but his statistical outburst late in the year has the team believing he can be a cornerstone piece of the franchise.

For each of the past five games, Russell has supplanted Spencer Dinwidde as the starting point guard in Brooklyn. The result has been a drastic spike in production for FanDuel NBA rosters, as Russell is posting 16.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.2 rebounds a night.

The inflated statistics have increased his output in FanDuel NBA league play, as he has posted 36.7 fantasy points a night during his last five outings.

In his third season, Russell is posting career-highs in scoring, rebounding and assists, the only thing preventing him from becoming a truly elite FanDuel NBA performer is his efficiency.

Russell possesses a remarkable mid-range shooting game, only attempts between 3-10 feet away from the rim have crippled his field goal percentage. The 22-year-old is also converting just 31.8 percent of his attempts from 3-point range, 4.5 percent below the league average.

The complete game of Russell makes him a prime candidate for any FanDuel NBA roster, but if he manages to increase his efficiency close to the rim and on the perimeter, he will become one of the most dominant guards in the league.
