The complete game of Tyeke Evans has made him a commodity in FanDuel NBA leagues and is one of the few bright spots for the Memphis Grizzlies this season.
Finding consistent assets on a team that has won just twice in the past 25 games is a challenge for anyone putting together a roster in FanDuel NBA tournament play.
The Memphis Grizzlies have won just two games since Jan. 22, as the team’s record went from 17-29 to 19-53 during the 25-game stretch, placing the team in a furious battle with the Phoenix Suns for the best odds to land the first overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
While victories have been a rarity for the Grizzlies, a steady level of production from Tyreke Evans has not only made him an intriguing prospect for FanDuel NBA rosters on a nightly basis, but may have earned him a lucrative long-term deal in free agency this summer.
Thursday against the Charlotte Hornets, Memphis tied an NBA record as it trailed by 65 points in the third quarter and lost the game by 61 points, marking just the sixth time in league history a team lost by 60 or more points.
The entire Grizzlies roster struggled in the contest, as the 79 points they scored was one shy of tying a season low. Only two players converted more than 40 percent of their attempts from the field.
As he has all season, Evans quietly submitted a solid game, scoring 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block.
For the year, Evans is averaging 19.4 points, 5.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game, joining James Harden, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Stephen Curry, DeMarcus Cousins and Stephen Curry as the only players posting at least 19 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds this year.
Victories may be elusive for the Grizzlies this year, but any FanDuel NBA lineup can benefit with the addition of Evans.
