Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine could miss the remainder of the season. Here is a look at a few takeaways if that is the case.

The Chicago Bulls have been awful in their last two outings. In a 110-92 loss to the New York Knicks earlier this week, they shot 35.9 percent from the field, including a woeful 10 percent (3-for-30) from 3-point range.

In the team’s recent outing against the Denver Nuggets, the contest was far from competitive as the Bulls were outscored by a 77-46 margin in the first half en route to a 135-102 defeat. The one common denominator in each of the Bulls’ last three games is they have been without the services of Kris Dunn (toe), Lauri Markkanen (back spasms) and Zach LaVine (knee soreness).

Without their best three players on the court, the Bulls have been a tough team to watch, to say the least. While the Bulls are optimistic about Dunn and Markkanen returning to the rotation before the end of the season, the same cannot be said for LaVine.

In fact, according to NBC Sports Chicago’s Vincent Goodwill, LaVine will be out of the mix for at least the next 5-7 days.

Furthermore, it is also being reported by Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times that LaVine could be out for the remainder of the season if the knee does not improve.

At this point, it may be somewhat premature to determine if LaVine is done for the season. If that is the case, though, here’s a look at few takeaways from this recent development.
